9 Days before Christmas and I can say all my shopping and decorating are completed. The wrapping and baking um not so much. Baking always reminds me of when my children were little. We always baked cookies for Santa and always had to have one in the shape of a Christmas tree. My daughter thought Santa had to have the tree cookie and took great care in decorating it. I baked a special cookie for Santa too this year but forgot to take a picture of it before putting it in the freezer. I will take a picture Christmas Eve.

The wrapping and baking will be completed this weekend. While wrapping I will also put on the Christmas music. The Christmas Vacation movie is a must see this weekend. There are a couple of homes on my trek home from work that would definitely rival the Griswold display.

This year we will have 2 Christmas celebrations . One will be Christmas day minus my son and his family. They are traveling to spend Christmas with my daughter-in-law’s father. They will be in warmer weather and I am my granddaughter’s grandfather will be able to enjoy her on Christmas Day. We will again celebrate when my son and his family return from their Christmas vacation.  I will  be able to have my daughter and son-in-law  with me on Christmas Day so I feel very blessed. Life is good and I count my blessings every day
