I survived Christmas celebration number 1 which we celebrated on Christmas Day. It started with Christmas services followed by breakfast at a friend’s house. My daughter then came and we exchanged gifts.
I must have been on Santa’s good list as I received many nice gifts including things for my photography hobby, books and new things to decorate my house. I certainly will have many new toys to keep my busy during the winter.
The best gift was spending time with my daughter and friends. We had good food and great conversation. Unfortunately I have no pictures as I left my camera at a friend’s house and will pick it up tomorrow. One of my favorite moments was watching my daughter open her baking dishes-she loves to bake and needed some new pans. She had them on her wish list but was still surprised. It reminded me her childhood Christmases. She has always had the surprise and grateful expression even as a little girl.
Christmas number 2 will occur after New Years when my son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter return from visiting their family in Georgia. I will have that celebration here complete with Christmas dinner 2. Family and some close friends will again gather for more fun.
I hope your Christmas was filled with joy and fun.
The only thing better than one Merry Christmas…is TWO!!! Can’t wait to see pictures then. Enjoy and Happy New Year to you and yours.
