Friday Smiles

Some things that brought a smile to my face and heart during the week.

  1. The elderly couple celebrating their 54th year of marriage. The love and admiration of the couple could be perceived through their eyes and body language. The cutest thing was him helping her up from her chair and telling me he was “taking his love to lunch”
  2. The little 3-year-old in the lobby mesmerized by the automatic player piano asking her dad, “Is a fairy playing that music Daddy?”
  3. Seeing a man walk in 3 months after their surgery. This was a man who was in a wheelchair for long distances and a cane for short distances. He told me he was walking around the track at the gym. The smile and pride on his face was priceless.
  4. The many athletes at the Olympics winning medals for their country. Seeing their excitement and pride certainly put a smile on my face
  5. Coming back to work and having people welcome you back-it is nice to work with people who do care about their co-workers.
  6. The gentleman who came in today after seeing me 3 months ago saying, ” I didn’t recognize you-you look so much younger.” That definitely made my day.

What were some of the things that made you smile this week?

  1. I love every one of these. Sounds like you had a blessed week!

  2. Lots of “stuff” going on at our house that could cause one to think there is nothing to smile about right now… However, my husband, Bill, and I always remind each other that “this too shall pass..” and that always makes us smile. I’m blessed to be married to my absolute best friend. 🙂 Great Post Kathy.

I always think that no matter what we need to at least find one positive thing that makes us smile. I definitely think it helps me get through the good and bad times.

  3. Hubby makes me smile. My dogs make my smile. Heck, this week, even my trainer made me smile, and that’s saying something! ;-)))))) I’m still smiling….

This is wonderful! Too many of us remember, not the smiles, but the aggravations of our week. Thank you for brightening my day!
