The Big Tease

Mother Nature has taken some pity on us. The past 2 days have had sun and temperatures in the high 50’s and 60’s.  Runners, walkers and even touch football players were out in full force. I was caught up in the nice weather as well. Today at lunch a co-worker and I went for a walk and ate lunch in a park near our work. The sun on our faces could not help but bring a smile to mine. The nice thing the smile was returned by many along the street. It never ceases to amaze me how the sun can bring the best out in people.

I went to the park after work to run and walk. I actually came back home and went around the streets of my house. The main road of the park was so packed with people and I did stop and watch them for a few minutes. The dogs even had a different prance to their step. I did enjoy my walk/run especially seeing all the families out in their yards playing ball or watching little ones learn to blow bubbles.

Even tonight I saw the first sure sign of the approaching spring. In the trees I spotted 2 robins and they were singing loudly. It was a truly welcome tune.

I know that tomorrow and Thursday winter is going to try to make at least one more appearance. March here in Pennsylvania is always a teasing month with glimpses of spring only to be reminded of the fact winter can rear its ugly head. I hope this is the last time I have to hear the words winter weather advisory but take comfort in the fact Friday the 50’s will return.

  1. Today in Boston was beautiful but then it is supposed to storm again later this week. More snow. Definitely a Tuesday tease!

  2. So glad you are getting to enjoy some spring-like weather. I can only imagine that any break from the bitter cold and snow would be a welcome break. I’ve had people tell me they couldn’t live in Arizona because of our hot, hot, hot summers, but personally, I’ll take hot over cold anytime. I guess it’s just like “they” say…”whatever makes you happy…” 🙂 Great post. Thanks for sharing!

Oh, March, you tease! Enjoying warm weather here in Canada. Watching the streams of water as the snow melts. Love it. Survived another winter!
