The sun is shining and it feels like spring. It is mid 50’s but I opened the deck door so Kibbles could be in the sun on the deck and some fresh outside air could spread through the house. I am again participating in the Gratitude List Link-up.
My Gratitude List (in no particular order)
- Being fortunate enough to have my family live near me so we can get together frequently. Today I have my granddaughter snuggled next to me on the couch as I am typing this.
- Being able to see this view on my way to work. I was stopped in traffic and captured this.
- The great quality of my rain boots. I was able to test them out this week and to keep dry while the cars speeding by were splashing and hitting the boots not my pants.
- The 2 mile run I was able to complete yesterday.
- Sunshine today so my granddaughter and I could weed the fairy garden and get it ready for summer
- Using the gift card I won at Trader Joe’s. It was great spending less for groceries.
- Feeling fortunate to have great neighbors who are there to lend a hand when needed
- Finally having the one street light fixed. It has been out since November and to have a lighted walk in the early morning is wonderful
- Filling out my income tax and finding I get a refund instead of paying
- The continued support and comments from the new and old blog readers.
What are you grateful for this week?
Wow, that is a beautiful view on your drive to work. That right there is reason to smile and be grateful.. I’m grateful that our daughter was able to get the adorable, one bedroom apartment she so wanted. This being her first apartment, and first time away from home, her excitement helps ease the sting of her leaving home… She is that last of our five children to leave home. Once I know she is settled into her new home. I will turn my thoughts to things I want to do with the extra time I will have for the first time in more years than I can count.. and that, will be even more reasons for me to be grateful. 🙂 Great post Kathy. Thanks for sharing.
I wish I could get the view with my camera but it is along a heavily traveled road. There was a backup and I was lucky to snap that picture. Thanks for your continued support and comments.
Gorgeous view – I love it! I still have to do my taxes, but keep putting it off. Maybe next weekend!
I still have to do state and local taxes. I will have to do this week. That view is one of my favorites-puts a smile on my face on the way to work
That is some view! I am a railroad commuter, and it doesn’t look that nice for me! Glad you have your family nearby as it is a blessing. Trader Joe’s is one of my favorite stores, hope you had fun on your shopping trip. If you haven’t tried their mushroom turnovers (frozen), I highly recommend them!
Thanks for the suggestion as I have never tried the mushroom turnovers. Thanks for stopping by and for your comments
Great list and remarkable view +Kathy Barton.
Thanks Rena. I am lucky that I get that view. Some days the reflection is even brighter and is beautiful.
Great rain boots are crucial for me given I walk to the bus/work. Amazing the difference it makes!
I agree! Dry scrub pants make such a better start to the day.
Loving this and grateful for the reminder- it’s the little things that make the big picture. Gracias & BB2U.
Thank you. I like to remember the little things. Thanks for stopping by and thanks for your comments
Granddaughter AND gardening. Sounds like heaven right there!
Spring is definitely a great time of year and sharing it with loved ones makes it even better
